Matthijs Hoitsma (Middelburg, 1981) graduated with honors at the Utrecht School of the Arts. His graduation film VICTOR NOBEL was nominated for a talent & pro award, best student film in 2006 and got selected at multiple festivals.
Since 2009 he has been working at VIACOM International Media Networks as Sr. On-Air Creative, creating 1000+ on air-campaigns, commercials, TV-promos, leaders and image trailers for multiple brands in the international market. (Comedy Central, MTV, Spike & Paramount Channel.)
As a media and communication professional he is skilled in creating strong concepts & scripts.
He is specialized in short form editing and has cut commercials, music videos, trailers, brand videos and more.
Besides this, he has written & directed music video’s & short films. As a musician (guitarist and co-songwriter) he is part of Amsterdam-based rock band The Pheromones, who have just released their 3rd studio album.
